It's the new year.  And time for a new you.  Getting healthy is getting hip so you may as well jump on the band wagon now.  Quaint has found the most wonderful person to help you relax.  Anne Jones.  Our quaint reporter Kelly Mattison gives you the scoop!

The Ripple Effect

RIPPLE -_‘HELPING PEOPLE TO HELP THEMSELVES’.

Ripple is a company founded by Anne Jones, gifted healer, author and seminar leader and inspirational charity worker for children orphaned by AIDS, and Debbie Mulkern, who has worked as a qualified Aromatherapy consultant for seventeen years and who formulates all of the Ripple products.

Debbie formulates all the Ripple blends based on the emotional aspirations that Anne has devised. Debbie’s expertise lies in creating essential oil blends for healing.

According to Anne, Debbie created the Ripple anointing blends as, ‘healing tools to help people to tune into and anchor the positive emotions and universal powers (e.g love, positivity, attraction) that Anne discusses in her book, ‘The Ripple Effect’.

At Ripple, Anne and Debbie believe that by taking care of and healing yourself first and foremost, it thus creates positive ripples across all aspects of your life. Their products are designed to be natural healing tools to, ‘help people to help themselves’.

They also aim to create positive ripples throughout their business model and practice and source 100% certified organically grown or wild-crafted essential oils and natural ingredients.

Here at Quaint, we are very lucky to have been given the chance to try out an exclusively ‘in demand,’ brand new product to be launched by Ripple next year called ‘Heart Rescue Spray’. It is described by Ripple as, ‘a rescue remedy for all matters of the heart’.

I was lucky enough to try out the product and when the package reached me I was overwhelmed with the beautiful smell of roses! It is to be used at a time when you are experiencing emotional loss or heartache, and as you spray it around your heart area, it gently enables you to open your heart to more love.

This is a wonderful product and Debbie has incorporated Rose Essential Water, an innovative, exciting NEW ingredient. It is one of the key ingredients that make this product so unique.

TIPS TO COPE WITH THE  BLUES AND DEPRESSION

By Kelly Mattison

LEARN TO RELAX

Depression is frequently associated with tension, stress and anxiety. Rather than running around aimlessly in an attempt to make things unrealistically ‘perfect,’ take the time over to do activities totally unrelated to daily life. Go for a swim or a walk and forget about it all for an hour or two. Exercise is proven to reduce stress and release tension.

BE HONEST

Be honest with family and friends about how you feel and if you need space or someone to listen, let them all know. (as polite as possible of course)

CONFIDE IN SOMEONE

If you’re worried about spending time with/without family or you’re feeling lonely, phone a friend and let off steam. It may be that they are feeling the same as you. A sympathetic, listening ear is an important treatment for depression.  if you do not want to open up to a friend or you choose not to have any, phone  08457909090 - the samaritans.

ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR FEELINGS

If you do feel that you are suffering from depression, be confident to ask for help from either your GP or close family and friends. Acknowledging that you need help will lift the burden from off your shoulders.  Sometimes just saying outloud 'I'm sad' or 'I'm feed up' makes you feel so much better.

If you do feel overwhelmed, remember you are not alone, many people find it difficult to cope with the pressures that accompany the festive period! If you would like more information or advice about how to cope, here are some organisations that can help;

CREDIT CRUNCH - DISSOLVE FINANCIAL WORRIES WITH MEDITATION

The Credit Crunch that has generated the current world financial crisis has had an impact both the consumer and employee alike.  The World Health Authority has seriously affected the mental health of many of the population and increased cases of stress, depression and mental disorders including suicides.  The World Health Authority has confirmed that around 12% of the world’s population, actually 450 million people – one in every 4 is affected in some way.Health Authroty Hew

Through meditation and the relaxation gained, the conscious mind can empty itself of the surface tensions and the whole area as far down as the subconscious area of the mind is calmed.  The physical tension held within the body is dissipated and the whole nervous system is refreshed.  That’s why we find meditation so, so relaxing.

So, as we meditate twice daily we begin to shed a lot of the tension we absorbed during our day.  Then as we dive deeper and deeper within ourselves we begin to draw on the pure life force that resides deep within us, and we begin infusing this into the subconscious mind where all our patternings are stored.

As these higher forces begin working on the conditioned and patterned areas within, they begin to sublimate and refine these thoughts or patterns.  It is said “matter of a lower frequency or vibration cannot survive in an environment of a higher frequency and it must therefore be dispelled".  This scientific principle is the key factor in Spiritual Unfoldment, where the higher, subtler spiritual energies that we bring forth from within the mind infuse themselves within the subconscious mind, and because this matter is of a low vibration it is slowly dispelled.  This matter would be the memories of the past, anxieties, insecurities and patternings that we have carried within us, impressed on the mind, stored in the storehouse of impressions that constitute the mind that we call the subconscious mind.

So, Spiritual Unfoldment is more than just calming the conscious mind and physical body, as it deals with the root cause of where the trouble lies.

A sublimation process continues each time you meditate and the adversities buried in our personality slowly become resolved as we relive them in a manner that allow us freedom from them forever.

Rajesh Ananda commented “So however the “Credit Crunch” may disturb our lives, meditation will keep us cool, calm and collected – and that’s a great place to be”.

Special meditation courses that help deal with financial or emotional stress are now available.
